Dear HWDSB Community,

June is a meaningful month for many reasons. It marks the beginning of the last instructional month for the 2025-2026 school year, bringing with it a season of transition, achievement, and new beginnings. It also marks the beginning of Pride Month, a time to celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, as well as Ontario Day, when we reflect on what it means to call this province home.

Walk, Bike and Roll Week June 1-5

Walking, rolling, or biking are healthy ways to get to school. June 1-5 is bike to school week. Use an active way to get to school. This helps your child move more and stay healthy.

Join the Movement and Help Your Child Bike to School

Did you know there are many ways you can help make cycling to school safer and easier? Cycling is healthy and fun, but kids need the right skill, gear, and support to stay safe and enjoy it. Be sure to plan your route before heading out! Don’t forget:

May 7 - Open House 4:30-6 There will be food for sale at the event and our Book Fair will also be on. Looking forward to seeing lots of families!

May 11-15 - Bike Safety Week for classes 4A, 4C, 45, 5A

May 13 - Welcome to Kindergarten Event - For families who have children who are starting in Kindergarten in September 3:30 - 4:30 PM

May 15 - Samosa Day - Please place orders by May 12 either online or in cash

New HWDSB Websites: Coming Soon!

Dear HWDSB Community,

We are excited to share that new websites are coming for our school board and all 93 HWDSB schools the first week of May. These refreshed sites are designed to be easier to use, more accessible, and make it simpler for families to find the information they need. This work is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance how we share information, connect, and collaborate with families, staff, and communities across the system.
